I crashed my car. I fell asleep driving. Which could have been really, really, really bad. But I emerged with one single superficial scratch, and I bought a new car.
I also went an a mini road trip from New York to North Carolina, stopping at states along the way. I visited 3 amusement parks, 2 water parks, and a lot of woods. And I bodyboarded in a tropical storm!
My grandpa celebrated his 95th birthday! My dad told me that the oldest recorded Korean reached 104, and that my grandpa is intent on beating that. What a boss.
I learned that it's okay to take mirror selfies.
I rescued my cats, Shinigami and Cheezburger. The two derpiest derps you ever did derp.
I modeled for Dolls Kill.
And then, a couple months later, they asked me to model again!! (As an aside: a lot of people ask me how DK found me. I was the first winner of their Be A Doll contest, another blessing of 2012.)
I went to Coachella for my fourth consecutive year, which was an adventure in itself. Ties with my best friends were strengthened, listened to amazing artists live, tire blew out after the first night and we got stranded for a while. The usual.
Chrissy Teigen wished me a happy birthday. *fangirling*
This happened.
I was in a music video for my friend Pow's single, "Truf".
I was in a Facebook ad.
I met Vincent.
I went to Portland, attended numerous parties, made new friends and connections, had a lot of shoots, read a ton of books, and ran into health and financial hardships and overcame them. Thanks to a good friend, I gained ownership of feralcreature.com and started blogging. All in all, what I thought would be a shitty year turned out to be the opposite. As trite as it may sound, the good things were good and the bad things were learning experiences, which were also good. I came into a greater understanding of myself and of things around me. I can't wait to see what 2013 has in store for me! My resolutions for the new year are to read even more, find a full-time job doing something I love, move to LA, eventually cut out red meat from my diet, start working out (although I say this every year), and learn how to cook. What are your New Years resolutions?
Much love,
