Cryptic Cogitation

Recently my soul has settled down and the sudden quiet inside me opened my ears and my heart to the whispers of the ethereal. I reached a tipping (or maybe breaking?) point where I reconsidered turning to some higher being or force, be it God or the universe. It's just nice to not feel like you're going through this alone; it's nice to hope something bigger than everything you know is guiding you. I've studied two beliefs quite extensively and my mother's and stepfather's Judaic influence on me is strong (and apparent by the red string from Israel around my wrist to ward off negative energy from an evil eye) but my thirst for knowledge and quest for truth will not let me rest until I find something so plausible that it's nearly palpable, or perish in the while. I heard of the Philosophical Research Society on NPR a couple weeks ago and thought it perfect for my esoteric endeavors. I know it's something a lot of you locals would be interested in so I wanted to share this gem.
