I want to take this opportunity to raise attention to an issue I've seen occurring the more I post photos wearing less clothing. I get body-bashed on the daily--my butt is "too flat", my arms are "too thin", I'm "too short", and most of all, I'm just "way too skinny". I am here to say that we can dress however we want. We can show whatever we want. We shouldn't have to be fearful of putting ourselves out there because of what mean things people might say. Body shaming is the absolute worst and nobody should make you feel like you're worth less just because of the way you look--whether you have body issues or not (and, as a PSA, telling someone with body issues how "ugly" they are is basically the worst thing you can do--just don't do it!). We are born the way we are, we (healthily) change what we want to change, and if you don't want to change or work out, that's cool too. And it is nobody else's business. I love you for you in every which way...I hope you love you for you too. :)

Aside from the amazing photos, I love the bit at the bottom on Body Shaming. Positive messages like that are always great to put out there!! C:
ReplyDeleteI love your positive messages. I've personally experienced body shaming and it is the worst thing ever. Hearing things like "you have a white girl's butt" or "you didn't get any black genes because you have thin lips" is seriously the most hurtful things ever. I'm glad you've posted this message. It truly helps others who have been suffering.
ReplyDeleteYour photos look really great and I love mix of brown and pink in your kimono. It reminds me of chocolate and strawberry ice cream lol♡

gorgeous photos as always, and I love the paragraph about the body shaming. I get so many mixed messages on my pictures, going from "anorexic" to "she's too fat". To me, that just highlights how ludicrous it would be to try to please and look good enough for everyone. You just do you - I'm starting to learn that the more haters, the more successful you've actually become.

I love the body positive message that you have. As a person who has suffered with body image and disordered eating, I think we as a society need more positive enforcement as much as possible. Women are constantly being pitted against each other and having a voice to cut through all the hate is so refreshing.

You are fucking beautiful, do not listen to the people who can only point at your "bad" parts of your body. You are not too skinny, your arms are not too thin... I hate the way they feel free to come and injure you (you or everyone else). I hate those haters...
ReplyDeleteYou are pretty. Your fluo swim suit seems cool ! It looks like a drawing in pictures haha. I love what you write in your posts. It is always interesting. I do not comment all the time, but sometimes i do it.
Please excuse my english ;) from france x
