What I look for in a hotel is equal parts sanctuary and playground. The W delivers.
I checked into the W Hotel Hong Kong for the last couple days of my HK trip. The W chain is one of my favorites; they are geared towards those in the music, fashion, and design industries. Each hotel has a different theme, and this one was "Enchanted Forest". It's very Alice in Wonderland-y, which I'm all about since Through the Looking Glass is one of my most treasured reads. Their knack for creativity is apparent in each themed hotel and their touches in everything they do. The team here is so attentive and personal; I felt like they knew me and my tastes so well.

Our room was so gorgeous, Natalie and I decided to host a black tie soirée for our friends. Our suite was like an immaculately furnished apartment, with a masculine natural vibe and luxe yet minimal features. Natalie and I took to the habit of calling it "our place" instead of "our hotel room" because it was starting to feel like home. We had to show it off to our friends.

We had a slumber party and reminisced about our trip overall the next morning.

With only a few hours left until my flight, I had to spend my precious last moments the most relaxing way I knew: At the W's pool. I'm really glad I made it up there because the pool and its view were amazing. The W Hong Kong has HK's highest rooftop pool. It also doesn't hurt that it's an infinity pool (the first I've ever seen in person!).
I was heartbroken I had to leave Hong Kong. I've come away with cherished memories and friendships; not to mention a deeper understanding of who I am and what I am capable of. I won't be able to stay away for long...so I made a plan to come back at the end of this year. Can't wait for it!
