black and white

I shot these photos with my friend Noel on the coldest day of fashion week. In fact, it was apparently the coldest day of that year in 20 years. 20 years!! I believe the "feels like" temperature with humidity and wind chill was -19°F. I...I can't even.

I went for a black & white look this day, with lots of layering and topped off with a minimal wooden Bound LA necklace. I tend to shy away from girly outfits, so to avoid overgirliness from the feminine top and tulle skirt, I layered a button up underneath to add a dash of masculinity.

Noel and I literally braved the elements to capture these shots--our mobility was limited due to how incapacitatingly freezing it was so we shot everything right outside my friend's brownstone in West Village that we were visiting. I think it turned out really well.
