I recently discovered Bogs, a utilitarian shoe brand that actually pulls off useful footwear in style. While most shoes of this class come in a very rugged brown that's difficult to match with my ever-so-favored greyscale outfits, Bogs has shoes for every look. My go-to boot is this light grey one that matches my all-white outfits and my favorite puffy coat. You pull them on and off with the "handles" at the sides and they're waterproof and insulated for temperatures as low as -20°F/-30°C! Doesn't really get any better than that. Now I can trample all over the mystery black slush in NYC with no worries.

I'd really love to try those boots! I live in Finland and it's often over -20°C in here during the winter. Usually the warm enough boots look really horrible, but those look great!
