I told you I'd wear more neutrals!
I used to hate brown clothing, especially mixed with black. I'm not sure why, but brown was the #1 color I didn't want to wear. But my style evolved (and possibly grew up), and brown is here to stay in my wardrobe. This gorgeous ribbed sweater dress by a longtime favorite, Few Moda, is absolutely dreamy. It's casual and simple in the front while elegant in the back via a huge bow at the neck, and little details like a hem with lots of movement and unique sleeves go a long way.
I made the transition into brown more digestible for me with shoes and accessories in true Feral Creature fashion.
And who would I be without a little leather and hardware, anyway?
A quite literally fierce (and dare I say feral) bag combined with a sweet post-fetish O-ring cincher belt and patent leather shoes give my outfit all the attitude it needs.
This bag held surprisingly everything (except my camera, obviously), and these shoes held up easily through hours of walking through Soho cobblestone streets. NYC-approved.
What an amazing outfit! You look gorgeous in brown and black =)
ReplyDeleteThank you, loving it so far!
DeleteThis entire outfit is !!! E v e r y t h i n g! The silhouette of this dress on you is a /dream/ and I am loving this color combination. Also, as always you look stunning <3
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I'm super in love with this dress!
DeleteI love the cut out on the back of that dress!
ReplyDeleteIt's my favorite thing about it, too!
DeleteYou look absolutely STUNNING! I'm also one of those "brown? NEVER!" types, but I think I just changed my mind. The way you styled this with the belt (OMG, that belt!) is sooooo pretty. And the beret, shoes and purse (so cute!) are perfect too. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt just felt too earthy and not edgy enough for me before, but that's changed now!
Deletesuch a gorgeous, classy look on you! Definitely wear brown more often!

You are certainly encouraging me to :)
DeleteI'm loving how it looks from the back! The open portion with the neck tie really gives it that extra element <3
ReplyDeleteI agree! x
DeleteDefinitely a Feral Creature take on brown, I love it! Though I don't think I'm ready for brown yet in my wardrobe

DeleteI don't own any brown clothing but I'm inspired! Love the pairing with the Deandri belt!
ReplyDeleteIt can totally be made edgy!
DeleteI used to not be into brown either but now I'm getting more into nudes - which I can kind of see this shade of brown being. It's the minimalist and me coming out to play I think! Thanks for rocking this for us. 👏🏼
